OCEAN CRUSH
Walking upon the sand, caressing waves lap the golden shore
Washing away my prints and those of who have trod before
Moons reflection, like a beacon lights the way, as I walk alone
To catch a glimpse once more of the most amazing lady I have ever known
I am alone the night closing in assures me of this, but she is there all around
Like an angel from heaven swooping down lifting me up from the ground
Floating on air though I cannot believe, it must be a dream do my eyes deceive
Never before has anything seemed so real, though I am beginning to believe
Through the night sky soaring high, the stars sparkle as we pass them by
Wrapped in yours arms no other place I would rather be, so happy I could cry
Holding on to each other flying free, our hearts entwined in love for eternity
Filled with such happiness & emotion, two souls combined as one you & me
As we fall & touch the ground I turn around, silence!!! No sound
No trace or sight only the memories left of the wonder I have found
Where had she gone vanished without trace, would I ever see her again?
Completely confused, try as I might I could not even begin to explain
Resting beneath the stars bereft of life drained of emotion
Upon the sand I lay, whilst all around me the debris of nature’s erosion
Trying hard to remember Searching for answers to cleanse my mind
But all I have is the uncertainty & doubt that leaves me blind
Was it a dream surely not, have I completely lost the plot
Mesmerised by your beauty totally in awe glued to the spot
Whether you are from this world or from another dimension
One thing is for sure you have my complete & undivided attention
The sun rising warm & bright bids farewell to the darkest night
Collecting my thoughts turning to leave, but it feels so right
However much I wish, I cannot stay though I will return another day
To find my princess and to never let her go again come what may
