poetry aliens 1

Aliens

Celestial beings in varying sizes

Different colours and many disguises

Some are scary some could be nice

However, if you saw one would you stop, or even think twice

How do we know if they are not already here?

With varying tales, the answer is never clear

Fact or fiction whatever your stance

Surely, everyone deserves to be given a chance!

If they were around, how would we be?

Would we chat for hours, and offer them tea

Maybe a cake, bun, or a tart, well at least it’s a start

Or offer them shelter, out of the goodness of our heart

Would they be scared, or emotionally impaired

Crazy, wacky, zany, wearing trousers flared

Bright coloured tops so lumious and bright

Enough to make you wear sunglasses at night

Would thier intelligence and energy blow us away

Or would they bore us making us wish they would not stay

Would they arrive in bright coloured ships?

With laser guns both sides, strapped to their hips

Here as a friend, or even a foe

What is there mission does anyone know

Here to support, or maybe to take control

Prepared and ready whatever their role

Could they foretell what was to be?

What the future holds for you and me

Each different in their own unique way

Are they just visitors? Or here to stay

Varying theories and sightings new

What do we believe, is any of it true

All we can be is patient and wait and see

For only time will tell, if there is life elsewhere

Or whether we are alone in this world you and me
